Cristal Finish Olympic Underpass U01 created in 2010

Central Saint Martins is offering the chance to study the design legacy of global sporting events through a dual city summer course, Design Legacy of Global Sporting Events, that explores the forthcoming London games and the transformative power of Barcelona’s own games 20 years ago.

Led by Vincenzo Di Maria and Christina Lladó I Mor in London and Barcelona, the course will help design professionals (targeted at architects, urban planners, curators and graphic designers, amongst others) plan and deliver large-scale events taking in account their long-term sustainability and design legacy.

It will also take into consideration Athens 2004 and Rio de Janeiro 2016 and is set to be a holistic and in-depth study, spanning just under a month from June 24th to July 20th – in time for London’s grand Opening Ceremony.

See course details for more information and to apply.
